Flathead County has it all: natural beauty and recreation, quality schools and health care, shopping and entertainment. Family values flourish and this is the place we want to raise our family and retire.
With everything we have going for us, Flathead County’s unemployment continues to be one of the worst in the state. Several economists have stated that they believe it will be 2018 before our economy is back to normal. This is unacceptable. We cannot wait for the economy to improve on its own. We must take action.
Government programs can’t and shouldn’t create jobs. Small businesses and entrepreneurs must be the foundation, driving our county’s economy forward. As County Commissioner, I will strive tirelessly to ensure Flathead County is working to create the kind of environment that business and job growth can thrive in. Our families deserve a more effective and efficient Commission that will keep government out of the way of good paying, private sector job growth.
